JEANNIE ICHIMURA

The Doug Adams Gallery brought together representatives from the five leading Master of Fine Arts programs in the Bay Area for our first annual Bay Area MFA Show. The multi-media works on display dealt with issues ranging from the transformation of the American female identity to the mass-suicide of members of the religious group, "Heaven's Gate." Jeannie, who had just graduated from SF State with her MFA, displayed a hanging sculpture with wheel thrown and altered cups balanced on vintage grape stakes, as well as two slip-cast ceramic figures.
